“Scared is what happens when the sacred gets scrambled.” – Anodea Judith
Let this serve as an important reminder that sometimes our fear arises as we walk our path. As we honor what is true for us, when we listen to our inner knowing or our truth, it might tells us to do or say things that scare us. Earlier this year, when my physical life crumbled away and I found myself in a new city, asking deep questions about what was next, it felt easy to listen. Nothing made sense anyway. I wouldn’t have chosen the path I was walking. I had been choosing a very different path. It’s after the rubble has been cleared that is trickiest for me. Honor what is sacred. Connection to oneself, to one another, and to the earth.
To your deep and sacred roots,
Jess
These Soulful Sunday blogs go out weekly on Sundays to be used as a place to step back from the hustle and bustle and explore what your soul might be saying to you. Some folks use these as journal prompts and let loose amidst pages. Some folks bring them to the kitchen table and jam over coffee. Do you, boo.
