“You have to give to the world the thing that you want the most, in order to fix the broken parts inside you.” ― Eve Ensler
Look here. This place is wild, juicy, and #tenderfierce inside of you. It’s the part that aches in the moments no one is looking. This is the part that has you standing in the shower, hoping that the hot water will purge it from you body, circle the drain and be gone. Go to the place you want gone. Listen to the longing of the broken place. Attune to where your heart breaks. This thing is the thing we need to see and learn from you. You may indeed need more training. Brene Brown talks about her “spiritual awakening aka breakdown”. She took a year off of her research. She went to therapy. She did her own work. Now she speaks and teaches on vulnerability. Please trust this place inside of you. You cannot eat enough or starve yourself enough to make it go away. Show up with all of you. Show up with your whole self. The beautiful radiant parts and the muddy, unclear parts. Bring every last drop of your sugar, because it is the fastest way to healing and wholeness. What is the thing that you are wanting the mostest? Don’t turn away. Bring it forth. We’re waiting.
To the wisdom of the broken places,
These Soulful Sunday blogs go out weekly on Sundays to be used as a place to step back from the hustle and bustle and explore what your soul might be saying to you. Some folks use these as journal prompts and let loose amidst pages. Some folks bring them to the kitchen table and jam over coffee. Do you, boo.
