“The life you have led doesn’t need to be the only life you have.” ― Anna Quindlen
HELLO. THIS IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT COACHING. You can stop looking to the evidence of your past for the life you might want to live. Can I tell you about Priscilla? (Name changed). She was working in the operations/tech side of things for a while. And suddenly, the company she was working for went under. She found herself jobless. What was revealed is that her dream is to live in Europe. She’s waiting. For more money. For more stability. For the “right” time. Can you imagine? The hugeness of moving your whole life? The hugeness of creating with your partner a life overseas. She and her partner are applying for remote jobs. They created a budget to move to Germany. They are strategically applying to graduate programs in Germany so that they can be students and live more cheaply and build their skill sets for career changes. THE PAST INFORMS THE PRESENT BUT IT DOES NOT DICTATE IT.
Mantra: I pay attention to the other lives that want to be lived by me.
Journal Q: What from my past am I letting dictate my future?

These Soulful Sunday blogs go out weekly on Sundays to be used as a place to step back from the hustle and bustle and explore what your soul might be saying to you. Some folks use these as journal prompts and let loose amidst pages. Some folks bring them to the kitchen table and jam over coffee. Do you, boo.
