“Don’t aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one’s personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the byproduct of one’s surrender to a person other than oneself.” – Viktor Frankl
More than anything, this is why I believe in building an Internal Compass and getting clear on your purpose. My work has been shifting these last few months and I’ve had to lean hard into practices that sustain my Internal Compass (Trust, Play, Aliveness, Stability). My purpose these days lies in creating empathy and connection through powerful spaces of community that sustain us and our aliveness. The details continue to be revealed, but they are the things that drive me from my bed, pulling me up to go for long runs, to journal, to reflect, and to create. There are things that want to emerge from me.
Mantra: I surrender to a purpose that is greater than me and I pay attention to the invitations in my life that are showing me what it is.
Journal Q: What are you being asked to do lately? What stirs the excitement or your heart?

These Soulful Sunday blogs go out weekly on Sundays to be used as a place to step back from the hustle and bustle and explore what your soul might be saying to you. Some folks use these as journal prompts and let loose amidst pages. Some folks bring them to the kitchen table and jam over coffee. Do you, boo.
